I really want to try and make this recipe myself. I just don’t have enough room in my fridge to store it till it’s holiday time. Just another reason I need a fridge in the basement.

In a few months you can get some unpasteurized apple cider and put it next to the egg nog to make yourself some Apple Jack.

It's like 25% abv stored in the fridge. He may puke from the booze, but not the eggs

Maybe this is a dumb question....but are the jars labeled 1 thru 4 because they are different in some way? Or was this all the recipe yielded?

According to the maths I saw in the comments on the recipe, I think it's closer to 10% ABV, but the idea is the same.

That's just how much the recipe makes. A little under a gallon of Nog.

Gotcha. It must be the camera angle makes the jars look small but now that you mention that the recipe makes about a gallon...it all makes sense.
Please let us know how it turns out. I love eggnog (but the NA paper carton store brand stuff...I’ve never had eggnog like how you’ve made it)

Just looked this up. Sounds amazing. A couple of people mentioned subbing out the milk and jus t doubling up on the cream and one mentioned adding some vanilla . I think I might make some next month or September and go that route .

Depending on how things look in December, I may try that next time around. It' s a little thinner than I’d hoped and I don't know if it's supposed to thicken as it ages or not.

I find that non-aged egg nog made with Breckenridge rye bourbon is amazing. This may be better, but it definitely looks more involved. In either case, the cooked nog Phillistines are wrong.
